The code is yours to use. We hope you love it!

We wanted an app for nap times and the chair method, so we built one. You can take the code and make your own.

Make your own copy

Baby Nap Track is on Google Play if you want the app as it is.

This button makes a copy that's yours, and you write no code. Your copy has the nap times and the chair method.

Make my own copy
  1. Tap the button and sign in to Netlify for free.
  2. Make a free GitHub account when Netlify asks for one.
  3. Netlify builds your copy and gives you a web address.
  4. Open that address on your phone and add it to your home screen.

Your copy opens in the browser. Reminders and the lock screen note are in the Play app.

Ask Claude to change it

You tell Claude what you'd like in your own words, and it writes the code.

  1. Open your copy in Claude Code.
  2. Ask for the change you'd like. Try Make the buttons bigger.
  3. Ask Claude to save it. Your web address shows the change.

Give your version its own name and icon before you share it. Have fun with it!

How the nap times are worked out

Each age has a wake window and a usual number of naps. A newborn has five short naps a day and a toddler has one long one.

The times come mostly from your baby's own naps after three days of logging. A short nap brings the next one sooner.

Every sum is in src/lib/engine.ts.

How the chair method works in the app

The app can take you through the chair method. It shows where the chair goes tonight and times how long your baby takes to fall asleep.

The chair moves every three nights, and you leave the room on night 13. A chart adds a bar each morning for the night before.

The code for it is in src/lib/chair.ts.

Where the data goes

Each phone keeps its own log. A log you share with your partner is kept on our servers in the EU.

A copy you build yourself sends us no usage counts.

The licence

The MIT licence lets you use the code for free. The name Baby Nap Track, the icon and the store pictures stay with Spremt Labs.
